Is Love a Feeling or an Action?
Is love a feeling or an action?
Fascinating question. And a really good one.
If love is a feeling, it's subject to constant change. Feelings come and go.
Feelings of love rise and fall, ebb and flow, diminish and increase.
If love is dependent on feeling it, love is precarious. What do you do when you don't feel it?
On the other hand, if you live love as a verb - as an action and a way of being - you always have a choice as to how much love you feel in your life at any moment, by way of how loving you are being.
Not feeling it today?
Do something loving.
Commit acts of random love.
Acting in loving ways is sure to change what you feel. Acting lovingly activates feelings of love inside you.
And in those who are touched by your loving acts. And when they feel loved, they'll return it, and share it with others.
Love depends not on how much love you feel at any moment, but rather on how loving you act, regardless of how much love you're feeling.
And in acting lovingly, you WILL feel more love. Guaranteed.
